Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO) Stream

In this stream, foreign skilled workers who meet the labor market requirements of Manitoba, and have strong connections within Manitoba receives invite to apply (ITA) by the Government of Manitoba.

In this stream, skilled workers can show their strong connections to Manitoba via:

Support of family members or friends,
Previous education, and experience within Manitoba, &
Invitation to Apply received directly from the MPNP as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

SUPPORTER IN MANITOBA

A Manitoba Supporter is applicant’s close relative or friend/distant relative and is able to support applicant’s plan for settling and finding employment in destination community in Manitoba. Additionally, a supporter must be:

A Canadian Permanent Resident or Citizen.

Able to demonstrate that they are currently residing, and living in the province continuously for at least one year.

Able to present close ties to the applicant, and to Manitoba.

PREVIOUS EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE WITHIN MANITOBA

In order to consider the Past Work Experience of Manitoba, applicant need to provide a Reference Letter from the employer stating that type of employment was full time, paid along with job duties. Also, it is mandatory to work for a Manitoba employer at least six consecutive months. In regards to Past Education in Manitoba, it is mandatory for the applicant to provide academic transcripts and the certificate/ diploma or degree received upon completion of the course.
