How long will it take to process the Canada PR application?
If you have applied for skilled workers (Federal) Online via Express Entry, the average processing time for is of 6 months. However, providing the accurate time duration is difficult because each application is different and takes a different amount of time to process. Also, due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), IRCC is experiencing delays in receiving applications and can’t process applications normally.

How are processing times calculated?
The processing time starts the day IRCC receive your complete application and ends when they make a decision. For instance, if you have applied by mail/courier, the time starts when your application arrives in their mail room. Most processing times are measured based on how long it took to process most of the applications in the past. For some permanent resident applicants who haven’t applied yet, the processing times are measured based on the current number of applications waiting to be processed and how quickly IRCC expect to process majority of them.
