Use the Canada Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) 67-point calculator to estimate your selection score based on age, education, skilled work experience, official languages, arranged employment and adaptability. The FSWP is one of the immigration programs managed through Express Entry.

To meet the FSWP selection threshold, you need at least 67 points out of 100. You must also satisfy mandatory program conditions; scoring 67 points alone does not establish eligibility or guarantee an invitation to apply.

Important language requirement: Your chosen first official language must reach at least CLB 7 in English or NCLC 7 in French in every ability—listening, reading, writing and speaking. For IELTS General Training, this is a minimum band of 6.0 in each module. A higher total points score cannot compensate for a language module below the minimum.

01 Age and education

02 Skilled work experience

Qualifying years of paid skilled work (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3, within the last 10 years) I have at least one continuous year (1,560 hours) of qualifying paid skilled work in my primary occupation, meeting the FSWP minimum work requirements.

03 Official language proficiency

FSWP mandatory rule: CLB/NCLC 7 or higher in every module. A high overall score cannot compensate for a low language score. Choose your test and actual scores. CLB/NCLC conversion is automatic. Only approved tests less than two years old qualify. TEF Canada: use the Équivalence ancien score column, not Score / 699.

6. Optional CEC / FSTP pathway screening

Canadian study alone does not qualify you for CEC or FSTP. Answer these additional questions to see whether another Express Entry pathway merits a professional review. These answers do not change your FSWP points.

In the last 3 years, have you completed at least 1,560 hours of paid, authorized Canadian work in TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 (excluding self-employment and work gained while a full-time student)? TEER category of that Canadian work Have you completed at least 2 years (3,120 hours) of paid work in an eligible skilled trade within the last 5 years, meeting the occupation's requirements? For FSTP, language minimums are CLB/NCLC 5 in speaking and listening, and 4 in reading and writing. CEC language minimums depend on the TEER category. Eligibility also depends on other requirements and supporting evidence.

How FSWP Selection Points Are Calculated

The Federal Skilled Worker Program evaluates six selection factors. The combined maximum is 100 points; the current selection pass mark is 67.

Adaptability is capped at 10 points. Multiple qualifying factors cannot increase the awarded adaptability score beyond that maximum.

English and French Language Requirements

The calculator lets you select your first official language and an approved examination, then choose results for listening, reading, writing and speaking. Supported tests include IELTS General Training, CELPIP-General and PTE Core for English, and TEF Canada and TCF Canada for French.

For FSWP, the first official language must meet CLB/NCLC 7 in each ability. The optional second official language can earn up to four additional selection points if all four abilities meet CLB/NCLC 5. When the second language satisfies the first-language threshold but the selected first language does not, the calculator can recommend switching and recalculating the score.

Only approved test results that meet the applicable validity requirements can be relied on for an immigration application. Select the examination and module scores exactly as shown on your results.

Understanding Your Eligibility Result

67 or more points: You meet the FSWP selection-factor threshold, but must also satisfy the mandatory program requirements. Below 67: You do not currently meet the selection pass mark. Language minimum not met: You cannot qualify under FSWP using that first official language even if the total score is 67 or higher.

The assessment is preliminary. Qualifying NOC duties and work experience, education/ECA, language test validity, proof of funds or an applicable exemption, admissibility and other conditions require separate verification. FSWP selection points are different from Express Entry CRS points.
