Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) introduced Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) as a pathway to become Permanent Residents of Canada, for immigrants who can contribute to the economy of a specific province or territory with their right skills, education and work experience.
Every province and territory has its own stream of select groups of immigrants, including international students, business people, skilled workers, or semi-skilled workers, on the basis of labour market requirements.
Special Note: The province of Quebec does not have a provincial nominee program. It operates its Quebec Selected Skilled Worker Stream for skilled workers who wish to become permanent residents of Canada and live in Quebec.
How to apply for Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) depends upon the stream through which an immigrant is submitting his application. Generally, Immigrants can submit their application for Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) in two ways:
Provinces
Territories
