What are the minimum Requirements for PEI Express Entry?
Should have an active Express Entry Profile.
- Must be eligible for one of the three main federal economic class immigration programs, including the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
- If you have a spousal open work permit or a post-graduate work permit (PGWP):
- You must have completed studies outside of Prince Edward Island (or be married to someone who did);
- You must have at least nine months of work experience with a PEI company;
- Your PGWP must be valid for at least four months at the time you submit your EOI.
How to Apply for PEI Express Entry?
If you meet the basic requirements, creating a profile in the PEI Expression of Interest (EOI) system is your first step to applying for the PEI PNP Express Entry program.
- When creating your profile, you’ll be asked several questions, all of which should be answered honestly. The data you have submitted can be altered at any time.
- In the EOI, you will be given a point score based on the details you provide and the selection system’s points grid. The maximum amount of points you can earn is 100.
- During routine draws, top-scoring applicants are requested to submit an application for a provincial nomination. Your invitation will be emailed to you if you are selected.
- Both you and your employer will need to complete the application forms. Apply within 60 days of receiving your invitation.
If you are chosen, a provincial nomination will be given to you. You must accept the nomination using your Express Entry profile. It’s likely that you’ll receive an invitation to submit a permanent residency application in the future Express Entry draw.
