Since the PNP and Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIP) programs were established in 2001 and 2017, respectively, the province has been drawing more immigrants. Employers in Canada’s Atlantic Provinces are now able to hire foreign workers to fill open positions that could not be filled locally thanks to the AIP.
The PEI PNP Express Entry category is one of the PNP’s improved categories. The types for business impact and labor impact serve as its two fundamental subcategories. An “improved” category is one that is compatible with the federal Express Entry system. Under its primary economic class immigration programs, Canada manages applications for permanent residency through the Express Entry system.
You will receive a point score based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) if you are in the Express Entry pool. Canada organizes Express Entry draws frequently and invites the top applicants to apply for Canadian permanent residency.
You receive an extra 600 CRS points after being nominated through a province scheme that has been upgraded, such as the PEI PNP Express Entry. With this increase, you are certain of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency in the upcoming draw. Also, your nomination is sent to you via your Express Entry profile.
You can pick any of three pathways as per your profile:
If you meet the eligibility requirements, you or your representative must create a profile in the Expression of Interest system for Prince Edward Island.
You will be required to enter a working email address as well as personal data from your passport in order to create a profile.
You can proceed to finish your profile after your account has been authenticated. There can only be one active profile per applicant at any given time. During a period of six months, your profile will be live.
If you are selected to apply, you will receive an email notification with details on how to submit your application.
If you receive an invitation to apply, you must fill out the forms.
The employer forms must be completed by your employer as well.
