In an unprecedented move, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has made history by conducting its inaugural Express Entry draw with a focus on candidates working in transport occupations. This announcement comes as the second Express Entry draw held within a single week.
On September 20, IRCC extended invitations to 1,000 individuals employed in transport occupations, offering them the opportunity to apply for permanent residency in Canada. Notably, the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required to secure an Invitation to Apply (ITA) was set at 435.
Just a day earlier, on September 19, IRCC also issued an exceptional 3,200 invitations to candidates in an all-program draw. For this draw, the minimum CRS score was established at 531.
These developments underscore Canada’s dynamic immigration strategy, as the nation continues to actively seek skilled professionals from a diverse range of sectors to contribute to its ongoing growth and prosperity.
It’s crucial to pay attention to specific details, including the quantity of invitations extended and the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score necessary.
As of September 20, 2023, the IRCC had recorded 216,035 successful profile submissions. The selection process relied on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. Out of these, 58,838 individuals had CRS scores ranging from 451 to 500, while 3,091 immigrants scored between 501 and 600 on the CRS.
