On June 19, 2024 (at 14:37:26 UTC), IRCC conducted its first Express Entry Draw (#298) for June 2024, inviting immigrants to apply for the Canada PR Visa.
In this draw, skilled immigrants holding an active Express Entry profile under the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC), with a valid nomination from a Canadian province, were invited to apply.
According to statistics published by IRCC, as of May 30, 2024, 224,940 skilled immigrants are in the pool with an active profile. Of these, 63,451 skilled immigrants have a CRS score between 451-500, followed by 57,086 skilled immigrants with a CRS score between 351-400.
The tie-breaking rule is used when multiple candidates have the same CRS score. In such cases, invitations are issued based on the date and time the candidate's profile was submitted. For the June 19, 2024 draw, the tie-breaking rule was set for January 19, 2024, at 10:10:40 UTC.
You can improve your CRS score by enhancing your language test results, gaining work experience, completing additional education, obtaining a valid job offer, or securing a provincial nomination.
A provincial nomination is an endorsement from a Canadian province or territory, which awards an additional 600 points to your CRS score, significantly increasing your chances of receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residency.
