Tourist Visas allow the holder of the visa to enter any foreign country for the purpose of travel. The individual traveling to a country on a visa is entitled to do any form of work or engage in any kind of business. Individuals can stay in a country for up to 182 days or a period of six months in any country after which they will need to go back to their country of origin. Individuals will not be allowed to take up employment on a tourist visa and there is no guarantee that the individual will be granted a work permit.
Individuals wishing to apply for a tourist visa may choose to do so online, they will need to fill an application and take a print-out of their application to the embassy of the country they wish to get a visa for, for their interview. An individual will need to give their biometric information, they will also need to carry a few photographs and give must give their fingerprints as part of the visa application process. Interviews are generally required for all applicants except, children under the age of 14 or individuals over the age of 80. Applicants will need to pay a small fee before their interview and need to pay another fee for the issuance of their visas. The individual will need to carry their passport, application photocopy, photographs, and a paid fee receipt to their interview in the embassy. The interviewer may ask questions about the purpose of your visit and about your ability to pay for yourself for the duration of the trip.
After the above-mentioned process has been completed and the individual has been granted their visa they may travel to the country of their choice at any given point of time before their visa expires, the expiry of one’s visa may depend, from country to country. After arrival at the country, the immigration check officer will have to prove entry into the country and affirm it with a stamp, after which the individual is free to roam to any part of the country which is not restricted to tourists.
