British Columbia Invites 184 Immigrants to the Latest BC PNP Draw

On June 27, 2023, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC-PNP) held two (2) draws under the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry BC (EEBC) programs for general immigrants including tech professionals and targeted occupations such as healthcare, and education-related occupations and other priority occupations.

184 skilled workers were given the opportunity to apply for permanent residency in Canada via British Columbia. The details of the draw, such as the number of invites and the minimum score needed in each category, are as follows:

What qualifications are there for BCPNP?

  • Have a full-time, authentic employment offer that has been approved by the BC PNP from a BC PNP employer in order to be qualified. The profession needs to be in NOC TEER 0, 1, or 3.
  • Have at least two years of full-time experience in any skilled occupation NOC TEER 0, 1, or 3
  • Be able to fulfill the duties of the aforementioned occupation.
  • Should be able to support themselves and be independent
  • Either have legal immigration status in Canada or must be eligible for the same
  • If your occupation falls under NOC TEER 2 or 3 you must ensure that you meet the language requirements.
  • Have a salary offer that is consistent with the occupation’s B.C. wage rates.

How to Apply for BC PNP?

  • Once a candidate has selected a category that is appropriate for them, they can register online and receive a registration score.
  • The BC PNP will conduct a draw each week to choose the top registrants for applications (subject to processing capacity).
  • Invited candidates must submit a complete online application no later than 30 days from the invitation date. The government should be charged a fee of 700 CDN.
  • The BC PNP will give the application top priority in processing.
  • If approved, the applicant will receive a nomination that they can use to file a petition for permanent residence in Canada.
  • Those who have been nominated and meet the criteria for their nomination will be given a work permit support letter so they can apply for a new work permit or renew their present one and carry on working while their application is being processed.
