The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program has been attracting highly skilled immigrants to the province. On November 26, 2024, it had another targeted draw, inviting skilled professionals to apply for permanent residency through provincial nomination.
Every week, typically on a Wednesday, the province conducts a draw and invites the highest-scoring candidates to submit a complete application for permanent residence to the BC PNP. These ITAs are issued based on the information provided in the registrations. Information provided in the registration is used to rank, select, and invite candidates most likely to meet British Columbia’s labour market and economic needs.
Currently, 80% of applications under the BC PNP are being processed within 8 to 10 months.

BC PNP has immigration pathways under which different classes of applicants fall:
B.C. regularly updates its list of in-demand occupations according to the labor market requirements. Some of the currently in-demand professions are as follows:
For most BC PNP streams, a valid job offer is required from a B.C.-based employer. However, International Post-Graduate exceptions apply, where applicants holding advanced degrees from eligible B.C. institutions can file an application without a job offer.
Yes, you can apply for BC PNP from outside of Canada, provided you meet the eligibility criteria. Many applicants abroad obtain their nominations through streams such as Express Entry BC or Skills Immigration.
