Immigrate to Ontario with OINP in 2023

Many provinces and territories make up Canada. Canada’s second-largest province is Ontario. It is home to Ottawa, the nation’s capital, as well as Toronto, another thriving and well-known metropolis. The skilled and bright newcomers can take advantage of several professional chances in both of these well-known Canadian cities. You might apply to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), part of Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), if you want to live, work, and settle in Ontario.

OINP is Ontario’s immigration program and so offers a very simple method to come to Ontario, in Canada, on a PR (Permanent Residence) visa, even though the Express Entry system also provides a pathway to gain PR (Permanent Residency) in Ontario.

The province’s economic immigration policy is known as the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). It collaborates with the Canadian government through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

To be nominated by the OINP, foreign employees, international students, and other people with the necessary qualifications can apply.

The OINP identifies and recommends candidates for permanent residence who possess the knowledge and expertise required by the Ontario economy, and the Government of Canada makes the final determination over whether to approve applications.

How to Apply for Ontario PNP

  • You must create a One-key account on the OINP website after determining which stream you are qualified for. After creating a profile, you must start your application through the portal by selecting the file number next to the stream you want to apply for. The necessary documentation must also be uploaded.
  • You must keep your profile updated until you are nominated if you are applying for one of the Fast Entry streams.
  • If your application is accepted, you will get an OINP Certificate of Nomination and a Nomination of Interest through email, and pay the application fee ($1500) as you submit your application.
  • For Express Entry Streams: You will then receive your nomination through your Express Entry profile. You will need to accept the nomination, after which you will receive an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. This means you will be invited to apply for permanent residence through Express Entry in the next draw.
  • For Graduate Streams: You will then be required to apply for permanent residence with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) within six months. Include your nomination approval letter and certificate with your application.
