On September 8, 2023, Alberta published the details of the draw conducted by the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), held on August 29th, 2023. The mentioned draws were part of the Alberta Express Entry Stream.

A total of 18 skilled immigrants were invited to apply for the Canadian Permanent Residence visa. The province has extended invitations to candidates who had family connection and primary occupation in demand. These candidates were required to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 300. The details of each draw including the number of invites sent out and the required minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores, are as follows:

How to Apply for Alberta Express Entry PNP Nomination and Canada PR?

  • Step 1 – Review Eligibility: Before you begin the application process, make sure you meet the eligibility criteria for the Alberta Express Entry Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
  • Step 2 – Prepare Documents: Collect all the required documents needed for your application. Additionally, ensure you have created an Expression of Interest (EOI) in your active Express Entry profile.
  • Step 3 – Express Interest in Alberta: In your Express Entry profile , indicate Alberta as your intended province for nomination and wait for the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program’s (AINP) draw.
  • Step 4: – Receive Notification: If your profile aligns with Alberta’s current labour market needs, you may receive a Notification of Interest (NOI) from Alberta.
  • Step 5 – Submit Application: Upon receiving the NOI, submit your application along with the necessary documents and pay the $500 CAD fee as required.
  • Step 6 – Alberta Assessment: Your application will go through a two-step review process, which includes eligibility and background checks.
  • Step 7 – Nomination Approval: If your application is approved, Alberta Immigration will notify you, and you will receive an additional 600 points on your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
  • Step 8 – Accept Nomination: Accept the nomination within 30 days and proceed to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) by submitting the required documents and paying the applicable fees.
  • Step 9 – IRCC Evaluation: The Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) case processing officer will review your PR application.
  • Step 10 – Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR): Upon approval, you will receive a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR).
  • Step 11 – Visa Stamping: Submit your passport for visa stamping.
  • Step 12 – Head to Canada: With your approved visa, you are ready to start your journey to Canada.
