What are the eligibility criteria for Skilled Workers?

In order to be eligible for BC PNP as a skilled worker you must:

  • Have accepted a full-time, indefinite work offer from a B.C. company (the offer cannot be temporary or have a set end date).
  • Work must be in a profession requiring skill (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3)
  • Be capable of carrying out the job’s requirements
  • Have worked in any skilled occupation for at least two years full-time (or its equivalent) (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3)
  • Demonstrate your ability to care for your dependents and yourself.
  • Have legal immigration status in Canada, or be eligible to get it;
  • Meet the language standards for NOC TEER 2 or 3 employment.
  • Have a salary offer that is consistent with the occupation’s B.C. wage rates

If your job offer is in NOC 41200 or an approved tech occupation, it does not need to be indefinite (university professors and lecturers). For complete details, please refer to the program handbook.

You need to meet the federal minimum language criteria, have an IRCC Express Entry Profile Number, and a Job Seeker Validation Code, and select the Express Entry BC option. They show that you are qualified for one of the federal economic immigration schemes covered by the IRCC’s Express Entry scheme.
