On July 6, 2023, the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) held a draw for the Human Capital Priority Stream of Ontario Express Entry, inviting 748 immigrants.

This draw was for Express Entry profiles that were produced between July 6 of 2022 and July 6 of 2023 by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The Notification of Interest (NOI) was given to immigrants with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Scores between 479 and 485.

Candidates who had work experience in the following NOCs were given the invite:

  • NOC 20012 – Computer and information systems managers
  • NOC 21211 – Data Scientists
  • NOC 21223 – Database analysts and data administrators
  • NOC 21230 – Computer systems developers and
  • NOC 21231 – Software engineers and designers
  • NOC 21232 – Software developers and programmers
  • NOC 21233 – Web designers
  • NOC 21234 – Web developers and programmers
  • NOC 21311 – Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers)

  • Step 2: Express Entry Profile Creation – Create a profile in the Express Entry System managed by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Express Entry is the online platform through which the OINP Human Capital Priority Stream operates. Your profile will be evaluated based on factors such as age, education, work experience, language skills, and adaptability.

  • Step 5: Application Fee Payment – As part of the application process, you are required to pay a non-refundable processing fee of $1500 CAD.   • Step 6: Application Review and Nomination – Once your application is submitted, the OINP will review your documents and assess your eligibility for provincial nomination. Successful nomination means you are one step closer to Canadian permanent residency.

After receiving the Provincial Nomination, you will need to submit a separate application to IRCC for Canadian Permanent Residency. The provincial nomination enhances your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in Express Entry, significantly increasing your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from IRCC.
