On August 29th, 2023, Alberta published the details of the draw conducted by Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), held on August 24th, 2023. The mentioned draws were part of the Alberta Express Entry Stream.
A total of 168 skilled immigrants were invited to apply for the Canadian Permanent Residence visa. The province has extended invitations to candidates who had family connection and primary occupation in demand. These candidates were required to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 302. As of August 29, 2023, the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AAIP) has been granted the authority to issue a total of 9,750 nomination certificates for the year. This allocation is divided between two pathways: Express Entry and non-Express Entry, but these numbers might change based on application volumes and usage projections. Notably, there are expectations for an increase in nomination allocations to surpass 10,000 annually in both 2024 and 2025. However, it is important to note that these plans are subject to sudden changes, contingent upon application fluctuations and the utilization of nomination allocations throughout 2023.
