International students will not be deported from Canada!

International students will not be deported from Canada!

The Immigration, refugees, and Citizenship (IRCC) minister of Canada, Sean Fraser, has stated that overseas students who are not proven to be involved in immigration-related fraud would not risk deportation. This is a relief for Indian students who were facing deportation from Canada.

Fraser claimed to have received instructions to grant “Temporary Resident Permits” to foreign students who entered Canada with the desire to study and were unaware that they were using false identification.

“I want to be crystal clear that international students who aren’t proven to be participating in fraud won’t be deported. In the official statement, Sean Fraser said, “The Immigration Refugee Protection Act grants me discretionary authority that I feel should be employed in the current context.

I have given officers instructions to issue a Temporary Resident Permit to that person if the facts of a particular case make it clear that an international student came to Canada with a genuine intent to study and without knowledge of the use of fraudulent documentation, the minister continued.

The ruling, according to Sean Fraser, will guarantee that the “well-intentioned students and graduates” can stay in Canada and prevent them from being subject to a five-year ban on re-entering the country.

This will guarantee that these well-meaning students and graduates can stay in Canada and prevent them from being subject to the 5-year restriction on re-entering Canada that typically follows cases of misrepresentation. Sean Fraser said, “Preliminary Temporary Resident Permits will be issued if they are necessary to avert impending deportation for anyone under examination while this process runs its course.

Canada Immigration Minister’s Reaction on Deportation of Indian Students.

The Canadian Immigration Minister’s comment came after some Indian students in Canada were threatened with deportation for allegedly submitting false admission letters; however, the actual number of affected students is significantly lower than the 700 figures reported in the media. Concerns about Indian students being expelled from Canada have been brought up in India.

In the statement, Sean Fraser stated that “there have been recent reports of international students and graduates facing expulsion from Canada after letters of acceptance submitted as part of their study permit application were found to be fraudulent.” He declared that finding the perpetrators of the fraud is Canada’s main priority. Before applying for a study permit, he advised applicants to do their homework and consult the official website.

He declared, “We are committed to offering an honest and transparent pathway to Canada because we recognize the enormous contributions that overseas students make to our nation. Fraser claimed that the Canadian government is using every available tool to punish dishonest and fraudulent consultants who attempt to take advantage of the country’s immigration system.

“We are taking every opportunity to crack down on dishonest and fraudulent consultants who seek to abuse Canada’s immigration system and take advantage of those seeking to visit, work, study, or settle here in Canada,” the official added.

Sean Fraser posted a message on Twitter about the sad situation that international students with fake acceptance letters were in. We’re taking steps to resolve this since your health is still our top priority.

Indian Government’s Response to the Deportation of Indian Students Studying in Canada

According to sources, India has been bringing up the issue of Indian students facing deportation from Canada, and its minister for external affairs, S. Jaishankar, has also brought it up with his Canadian counterpart. It has been urged by Canadian authorities repeatedly to be fair because the students were not at fault, they said.

The sources claimed that while 700 Indian students have supposedly been threatened with deportation for allegedly submitting false acceptance letters while studying in Canada, the true number is far lower.
