Canada Express Entry Draw #248 invites 589 applicants via PNP

On May 10, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the immigration department of Canada, hosted Canada Express Entry draw #248 (at 14:06:47 UTC). In order to apply for a Canadian PR visa, immigrants were invited to participate in the Canada Express Entry draw.

This draw was conducted for Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

A total of 589 skilled individuals who have an active Express Entry profile and were nominated by Canadian provinces under the Provincial Nominee Program (or PNP) were invited to participate in the most recent Express Entry draw #248.

According to IRCC 225,388, immigrants had successfully submitted their profiles as of May 10th, 2023. And, based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, the highest number of immigrants, i.e., 55,439, have a CRS score of 451 – 500, followed by 2,129 immigrants having a CRS Score between 501– 600 and 992 applicants have CRS score between 601 – 1200.

The Canadian government holds a draw for Express Entry every two weeks or so. The most recent draw was on May 10th. The upcoming Canada Express Entry draw is scheduled on May 24, 2023.

How to Apply for PNP via Express Entry?

  • Step 1: Make an Express Entry profile
  • Step 2: Express interest in the province where you want to settle.
  • Step 3: Verify your PNP eligibility and submit your profile if necessary.
  • Step 4: Await the province’s (Invitation to Apply) ITA.
  • Step 5: At this point, you can submit your documents in accordance with the checklist and pay the PNP fee.
  • Step 6: Pay the application money for Canada PR after receiving your nomination.
  • Step 7: Get your passport stamped once you’ve received your COPR.
